Former hockey player Radek Duda is going through a difficult period in his life. The 43-year-old attacker announced on social networks that his son Radek suffers from malignant leukemia.
Radek Duda was used to waging tough battles on hockey rinks and was not afraid to deal blows. But now he has to deal with a difficult situation off the ice. “It’s her birthday, we only have one wish. On November 22, 2022, he developed acute myeloid leukemia, which we are now fighting. The fight is not easy, but so much love overcomes even the worst disease, otherwise it is not even possible. thank you all,” writes the former hockey player on Instagram. And that on the day when his son Radek celebrates his seventh birthday on Christmas Day.
Many messages of support immediately poured in under his post with a photo in the hospital. “Good luck“, writes the hockey player Matej Blümel. “Can you do it. I am sending a lot of power,” writes forward Pavel Novák for a change, who has been battling cancer in recent months and announced in October that he had overcome the insidious disease.
The former league champion with Slavia announced the end of his hockey career in March of this year. Currently, the 43-year-old participant of the World Cup 2003 works as a so-called skill coach and helps develop hockey youth. In addition to his son Radek, he also has a daughter Victoria.
