With balaclavas and baseball bats: Two young people want to extort money in a Munich shop. When a customer intervenes, a perpetrator uses pepper spray.

The Munich police are looking for two young people who wanted to rob a grocery store in Neuperlach early Tuesday evening.

Two young men, masked with balaclavas, entered the grocery store near Karl-Marx-Ring and Peschelanger. One of the perpetrators asked the cashier for money. “In order to emphasize his claim, he hit the cash register counter with a kind of baton,” reports the police.

Robbery in balaclavas: Munich police are looking for young perpetrators

When a 33-year-old customer got involved, the second perpetrator is said to have sprayed him in the face with pepper spray. The 33-year-old suffered minor injuries and was later treated on an outpatient basis by the emergency services.

When another 34-year-old employee of the store finally came and spoke to the two perpetrators, they left the store and fled in an unknown direction without taking any booty.

Munich police are looking for perpetrators by description and are asking witnesses for information

The perpetrators were described as follows:

offender 1

• Masculine
• about 15-17 years old
• about 170-175 cm tall, slim
• dressed in a black jogging suit, a black winter jacket with a red pattern on the left chest, black gloves and was masked with a black balaclava

offender 2

• Masculine
• about 13-16 years old
• approx. 160-165 cm tall, slim
• dressed in a light gray jogging suit, turquoise winter jacket, black gloves and was masked with a black balaclava
