LOSC Goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier Undergoes Meniscus Surgery: Hopes to Recover in Time for Olympic Games

LOSC goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier underwent surgery on the meniscus in his left knee this Tuesday. Injured in an aerial exit at the end of the match between Nantes and the Mastiffs on Sunday (1-2), he was forced to give up his place to Vito Mannone.

Packaged for the last match of the season against Nice on Sunday, the 22-year-old player will begin his rehabilitation in order to be restored for the Olympic Games (July 24 – August 9). A competition where he should be the captain of the selection led by Thierry Henry. It should be delivered within six to eight weeks.

Three years ago, Chevalier had already undergone meniscus surgery in his right knee. He had recovered earlier than expected and returned after a little over a month.
