Edit: Confirmation of rumors as according to Shams the Golden State Warriors have decided to cut fullback Mac McClung to make room for Ty Jerome, who is expected to be signed to an unsecured contract in the form of a training camp invite.
Additionally, they should also sign Anthony Lamb, and for that it will be necessary to cut another player. It will also be for the training camp.
The Golden State Warriors are releasing guard Mac McClung, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Warriors intend to bring in guard Ty Jerome on a camp deal after he clears waivers.

Oct. 2: The Golden State Warriors currently have 20 players on the roster, but they could take advantage of an opportunity to make a switch. In effect, You Jeromewho was no longer in the plans of the Thunder, transferred to the Rockets, and cut in stride, could well land in the champions.
According to Anthony Slater, the champions are in discussion with the former Sun for an invitation to the training camp with the possibility of then integrating the workforce.
Although the Warriors would rather start the season with 14 standard contracts to allow themselves flexibility, they could sign the former Virginia for a two-way contract. Currently both spots are occupied by Quinndary Weatherspoon et Lester Quinonesand one of the two could be threatened.
After a good stint at OKC in 2020-21 (10.7 points at 42.3% from afar in 23.9 minutes), his performance dropped significantly last season: 7.1 points at 37.8% including 29% from afar in 16.7 minutes.
The Warriors and guard Ty Jerome are in talks on a camp deal to compete for a roster spot after he clears waivers Monday, sources tell me and @ShamsCharania. Warriors still finalizing plan for two-ways/empty 15th over next couple weeks. Unlikely they fill 15th for tax savings.
