The Argentine archery team was one arrow away from the podium in Asunción 2022

Today there was a team competition and Argentina had a male presence in both modalities. Once again the delegation was one arrow away from the bronze.

The recurve bow team had a good day but fell short of bronze. In the quarterfinals they triumphed against Peru by 223-217, in the semifinal they fell against Brazil by 222-223. In the bronze they measured against Chile and in the last run they raised four points against. After the 4 regulatory draws, the match ended tied at 223. Everything was defined in an extra throw, where Chile was more precise and won 29 to 27.

On Tuesday, October 4, the individual stage will start and the boys have confirmed rivals. In compound Salvetti will go against Peña from Ecuador, the only one that will start in the round of 16. The other three athletes will start in the round of 16, Briosso will face Silva from Brazil, Salinas will face Kawakani and Nicolajuk will wait for the winner of a tie from the previous round.
