It didn’t work out on the field yesterday, but it did on the couch tonight. PSG can add a 12th national title thanks to Lyon. That gave number 2 Monaco too much of the defeat. Malick Fofana was the executioner on duty.

Even though Paris Saint-Germain had been caught in a slippery fit yesterday, the national title would come sooner or later. No one doubted that anymore.

However, PSG was not able to head in its match ball itself, because Olympique Lyon sealed the fate of first pursuer AS Monaco.

The Monegasques took the lead in the opening minute thanks to Ben Yedder, but halfway through the first half Lyon had made the visitors’ task even more difficult.

Ben Yedder revived Monaco’s hopes, but in the 84th minute Malick Fofana put an end to their ambitions.

With the 3-2, the ex-Ghent player started the title celebration in the capital.
