On the penultimate day of competition, the delegation from Corrientes that participates in the Evita 2022 National Games, added two gold medals in Olympic Weightlifting; and gold in Windsurfing. Adapted athletes continue to stand out at the national level.
Regarding the Olympic weightlifting: Valentina Cabral and Manuel Meza won the gold medal, this Friday at the closing of their competitions in Mar del Plata.
Regarding windsurfing, Juan Francisco Torres won the gold medal last Thursday; and Gustavo Duarte, a bronze in Olympic weightlifting.
For their part, the adapted athletes: Valentina Villordo was the gold medal in shot put; Marcelo Acosta: gold in 100m; and Priscila Cóceres: shot put gold.
For this Saturday, there are finalists from Corrientes in: Judo with Dante Wandelow, Gastón Ortega in boxing. The women’s 3 vs 3 basketball team and the women’s badminton duo, among others, will also seek the gold medal.
Return to the province:
The delegation from Corrientes, of more than 900 people, will be arriving in the Province next Sunday morning.
