This question backfired…
Before the top game of FC Bayern against SC Freiburg (in the BILD live ticker) DAZN presenter Laura Wontorra wanted to entice Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Wontorra: “Bayern is a clear outsider, isn’t it?”
Nagelsmann is visibly surprised and mumbles: “On paper, yes.” Then he laughs at the expert Sandro Wagner and says: “She thought about the question for a long time.”

After the short laugh, the Bayern coach becomes serious again and says: “We have the greatest respect for their performance. You are doing well. We have great respect that they always find great players, even with limited resources.”
Nagelsmann concludes: “We want to be the top of the league! We’re not currently, but we don’t want to be.”
Nagelsmann had previously had fun with Christian Streich.

The Freiburg coach when asked if he was friends with Nagelsmann: “Friendship is always a big word. We talk on the phone a few times, you don’t see each other often. It’s great that we see each other twice a year.”
Nagelsmann: “From us on we write to each other on WhatsApp, sometimes it’s also a zoom call. Or the classic way on the phone.”
Streich also revealed that he got tips from Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner because of the games in the Europa League: “I called Oliver and asked how you play in Europe. We haven’t for a long time. And then he said a few things. That was very nice.”
