The Chelsea club is about to bet on a German for the post of football director within it.
Chelsea are close to signing RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund.
Freund is therefore expected to land at Stamford Bridge. He would inherit the function which has become vacant since the departure of Marina Granovskaia. The Russian was asked to clear the floor after the end of the Roman Abramovich era.
