Claudio Zupo Gutiérrez “El Gigante de Sonora” Judo medalist at the 2006 Pan American Games, passed away after losing the battle against Covid-19.
The Mexican Judo Federation (Femejudo) lamented the departure of the former national team player and Central American and Pan American medalist.
Claudio Zupo started in judo at the age of 15 under the supervision of coach Rafael Torres Rodríguez and quickly rose to the state teams where he gave Sonora medals in the National Olympiad in the Youth category.
