Softball, the rossoblù girls try to write history

ROVIGO – The incredible season of the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo in the Serie A2 softball championship ends this weekend. In the Marche, the rossoblù girls face the last act of the final against Macerata. To overturn the balance generated by the first two matches played in Rovigo last weekend, a real undertaking will be needed.

Courage, determination and desire to amaze are not lacking in the roster coached by Javier Pino Soto, Adriano Morabito and Cristina Pollatoabove all because the first two races of the series have leveled a prediction that on the eve of the Marches was widely favored for the championship victory and the consequent promotion to Serie A1.

The Polesan “Girls”, however, sold their lives dearly, coming close, especially in race one, to victory. The result was a double 11-8 for Macerata, which will go in search of the success that would put an end to the final series. Whoever reaches three wins first will win the championship. For Rovigo, therefore, missteps are no longer allowed: the rossoblùs must necessarily win both scheduled matches starting at 17 to grab their opponents at 2-2 and go to the decisive match scheduled on Sunday at 11.

Everyone from the headquarters in via Vittorio Veneto in Tassina will cheer for the rossoblù girls engaged in the difficult and decisive away match. In everyone’s eyes there is still the extraordinary “remuntada” that in the final part of the regular season allowed the Polesane to qualify for the playoffs, closing the national Group B in second place just behind Macerata. Then the equally surprising victory in the semifinal against the strong New Bollate and now the ambition to move the limit even higher to overturn the inertia of the final and write a page of sports history in Rovigo in the year of the fiftieth anniversary of the birth of the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo.
