Klopp beats Pep
The 100th edition of the Community Shield: FA Cup winners Liverpool v champions Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp (55) v Pep Guardiola (51).

Video evidence again in the 81st minute, this time on the other side. City captain Ruben Dias hands the ball after a Darwin header in the penalty area. Referee Craig Pawson looks at the scene, then awards a penalty. Mo Salah (30) converts that with a powerful shot into the right corner (83rd).
90. + 4 minutes: Darwin Nunez makes everything clear with his head after super preparatory work from Robertson.
The decision! And the first title of the season for Klopp and his team.
As in 2021, Guardiola loses the Community Shield game with City. Back then, the team lost 1-0 to Leicester City.
It is Liverpool’s first triumph in this competition since 2006.
︎ Liverpool will open the upcoming Premier League season next Saturday (August 6th, 1.30 p.m.) with an away game at newly promoted Fulham. Champion Man City starts a day later (August 7, 5:30 p.m.) at West Ham United.
