The Vicuña Local Prosecutor’s Office brought a basketball teacher to trial accused of sexually abusing 10 different victims in the Vicuña commune, Coquimbo Region.
The Public Ministry reported that it is in evidence stage before the Oral Criminal Court of La Serena, where the process should be extended for at least nine more days.
The reported events would have occurred during the year 2020however, the crossing of information and analysis of other antecedents, it was possible to add other facts that are located in different periods of timebetween the years 2009 to 2020.
“The accusation consists of 10 facts that would have affected 10 victims in various instances of time, with abuses consisting of touching the private parts of the victims,” said prosecutor Juan Rubén González.
“The accused), using his capacity as a teacher, he gained the trust of the victims, his parents and carried out his actions in the gym and in other places. He would even invite them over to her house,” she added.
Currently, the subject is under the precautionary measure of preventive detentiony the Public Ministry requested a sentence of 20 years.
