Demir will only move to Windischgarsten on Monday – with the U19 team. “Everyone was involved, Schöttel, Barisic, Gregoritsch – and of course everything in consultation with the player,” explains Austria’s U19 team boss Martin Scherb the plan. The Viennese himself wanted to take part in the U19 European Championships in Slovakia from June 19th. “With us, he gets the minutes he needs,” says Scherb. “I know how ambitious he is. He just wants to play soccer. But a lot of pressure was put on him, so we’ll take his backpack off him. The rest with us will do him good. With us he is like everyone else. He helps the team and vice versa.”
