Ponta Bora was in the city of Formosa in Argentina. Judos from the Judô Banzai project, which is maintained by the Mayor’s Office through Funcespp – Fundação de Cultura e Esporte de Ponta Porã, competed in the Tierra del Sol International Championship.
A total of 580 athletes from 36 clubs in Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil have registered for the tournament in Argentina. In addition, Ponta Bora was attended by a delegation of 20 people, including 14 athletes and competing athletes, parents and a technical team, which was made up of teachers Nicodemos Filgueiras Júnior, Rosileide Bernal Barrozo and Priscila Arce.
Ponta Bora returned from Argentina with 11 medals, five gold, two silver and four bronze. The result was highly celebrated by the bansai judo team in another great event in Pontapora at Terra do Sol. The achievements of last weekend were the result of a permanent investment, which Funcespp is allocating to the Municipality of Ponta Porã, the municipality of sports and judo.
