LeBron James wants to own an NBA franchise in Las Vegas

Four-time NBA champion LeBron James has an appetite and a lot of money. First active basketball player who became a billionaire according to the magazine Forbesthe Lakers player said on his talk show “The Shop” on Thursday that he would like to own a franchise in Las Vegas.

“I want to own a team. I want to buy a team, that’s for sure. I want a team in Vegas”, said the 37-year-old. Las Vegas is also a city where the appearance of an NBA franchise (a room project exists) is regularly mentioned even if the boss of the League, Adam Silver, has ruled out any expansion to 32 teams in the immediate future.

Already heavily invested in business, James is co-owner of Fenway Sports Group, which owns the Boston Red Sox baseball franchise (MLB), the Pittsburgh Penguins ice hockey franchise (NHL) and owns shares in the Liverpool.
