Big Bill: withdrawal of Stéphane Waite’s jersey postponed to June 10

BASEBALL. Due to the announced weather forecast, the ceremonies surrounding the retirement of Stéphane Waite’s jersey #16, which were to take place on Friday (May 27) at the Julien-Morin stadium, have been postponed to June 10.

During this meeting, the Big Bill of Coaticook will receive the visit of the Expos of Sherbrooke, as it was planned for the initial meeting.

Although the main interested party is rather known for his involvement in hockey, in particular having been the goalkeeper coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Waite was also a player-coach for Big Bill between 1997 and 2004. He then won the series in 1997, 1998 and 2001.

Note that Friday’s meeting (May 27) between the Coaticook Big Bill and the Sherbrooke Expos is still on the schedule, despite the announced conditions.
