Moves on the Sparta – Jablonec route! Green should wear a red jersey, not only Juliš is heading to the opposite side

In the first match of the superstructure part in the group for rescue, FK Jablonec lost to last year’s newcomer Pardubice at home and fell to the draw. He is in danger of descending. After twenty-eight years in the highest competition. Only three other clubs can boast such a business card: Slavia, Sparta and Liberec. However, Jablonec could lose this privilege.

For the first time, Jablonec broke through the elite during the federal organization, he spent two years in the Czechoslovak top competition in 1974-1976, but it was a bare struggle for rescue, which eventually resulted in a fall to the lower floors.

When, twenty years later, during the independent Czech league, he again rose to the top, it was quite something else.

All the time he was mostly in the better part of the table, he peeked into the European cups ten times, in the year 2009/2010 he even finished on the silver medal behind Sparta. Jablonec belonged to the exhibition clubs of Czech football.

Although the vibrant period began with an unsuccessful playoff qualification with Bohemians Prague, which after the division of the federation provided more room for advancement to the highest competition in the need to replace Slovak clubs.

But the next year (1993/1994) was already published for the North Bohemian team. “I remember that we lost in the 3rd round in Teplice, but we did not lose the following 27 matches and entered the highest competition from the first place, before Švarc Benešov,” the then midfielder Pavel Medynský returns almost thirty years ago. “It was a great glory,” confirms.

However, he did not enjoy the premiere match. “I took an unpleasant ankle sprain from training with Hradec Králové, I couldn’t get on,” explains why he missed such a festive event.

However, the home defeat with Ostrava 2: 3 hardened her a bit. In the next matches, the midfielder, who was rich in physical resources and emphasis, was no longer missing in the basic line-up. “We ended up in tenth place. Good deed for a newcomer, no! ” Medynský boasts.

Švarc Benešov, who accompanied Jablonec on the way up, finished hopelessly last, he was accompanied down by the Bohemians Praha team, which succeeded against the North Bohemian club in the playoffs a year earlier.

The former team, who moved to the coach after active activity and has registered several interesting engagements, including the women’s championship in Slavia Prague, is not afraid of the current team.

“The last one will fall, it will be Karviná,” discusses Medynsky. “Sparta B will gain the right to participate in the play-off, but it will not be able to advance; other teams in the 2nd league, Vlašim or Líšeň, may not even strive for the highest competition because they do not meet the licensing conditions, such as the stadium,” points out.

According to Medynský, Jablonec football will add another comma to its premier league chronicle next year.
