1. FC Köln: Corona aftermath: Sebastian Andersson threatens the end of the season – Bundesliga

Cologne’s frustration striker Sebastian Andersson (30) threatens the bad end of a season that has already been used by the Swede.

Having actually recovered from a corona infection for weeks, Andersson just can’t get back on his feet. Trainer Steffen Baumgart (50) originally expected Andersson to return to training this week. Vain! And the forecasts are now sounding cautious.

Baumgart when asked by BILD: “We hope that something will happen next week. But we also want to make sure that he is 100 percent fit. The goal is to use him in the last two games. But I don’t know whether it will succeed.”

► Currently Andersson only works individually. If he doesn’t go straight into team training at the start of the week, it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to play in the last home game against Wolfsburg (May 7th).

Bitter for Andersson, who had already tried in vain to leave Cologne before the season and then only scored three goals in 26 games and only started 13 times. The next attempt at a change should follow in the summer…
