The Playoffs – Adam Humphries Signs With The Washington Football Team

Adam Humphries already has a new team. After being released by the Tennessee Titans this offseason, the wide receiver signed a one-year contract with the Washington Football Team. The values of the negotiation have not yet been revealed.

With the acquisition, the Washington Football Team provides a reliable receiver to play alongside Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel receiving passes from new quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Adam Humphries entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he even played with Fitzpatrick. After posting career-highs in 2018, with 816 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season, the receiver signed a four-year, $36 million contract with the Tennessee Titans.

In Tennessee, however, injuries and concussions made him less successful, leading to his release earlier this offseason in a move that saved the franchise an estimated $4.47 million in salary caps.

This Saturday (27), Humphries published on his Instagram a post in which he said goodbye to the Titans and revealed his excitement with the signing with the Washington Football Team.

“Thank you so much Tennessee for the last two years. I will always cherish the city of Nashville and the Titans. The journey continues in Washington! Excited to join the WFT and be a part of this great organization.”

Last season, Adam Humphries racked up 228 yards with 23 receptions in seven games and two touchdowns.
