Monaco GP: McLaren will run with a special car in tribute to Ayrton Senna

McLaren is wearing yellow and green this weekend for the Monaco GP. From the helmet to the shoes without forgetting the surface of the car, Ayrton Senna is everywhere. Thirty years already since the star of the place died. The record holder for the number of victories (6) in the GP of the principality will be on everyone’s minds.

The Brazilian who made the British team shine from 1988 to 1993 notably inspired the design of the helmets worn by Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Both honored to pay tribute to one of their idols, the young drivers easily took part in a photo shoot yesterday during the day to feed Mc Laren’s social networks.

While the British team has had an excellent start to the season, being third in the constructor standings with Lando Norris’ victory in Miami and three other podiums, this new car could give a nice nod to the legend if it finds itself back at the forefront.

Indeed Senna is the most successful driver in McLaren history with 35 victories in 96 starts in a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
