We wish all members and those who want to become one a happy new year. May your wishes come true in 2022.
Unfortunately the year starts with a new Corona Protection Ordinance of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is valid until January 12th, 2022. In the current regulation, “boosted” people are no longer considered tested. For our trainers, this means that we all have to be tested before each training session. The new virus variant has also significantly increased the risk for the trainers. We are concerned about your and our health and do not want to discuss the measures with you, but rather find a way to maintain the training and to minimize the risk for everyone.
On the basis of the regulation and a survey of the koalas and seniors, the trainers sat down and discussed the following:
- The training starts on Friday, January 14th, 2022. Thus, all students have a test cycle behind them. All students are treated on an equal footing with those who have recovered or are tested, as they are tested in school.
- The training of seniors and kids / teens will be combined. Everyone trains from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This reduces the trainer’s time to two hours in the hall.
- 2G + applies to everyone over the age of 16 who no longer goes to school. Vaccinated or recovered with evidence and an additional citizen test (not older than 24h) or PCR test (not older than 48h). A self-test is not permitted. The trainers must check this and document it on the attendance lists (green marker is in the hall).
- In the hall, it is mandatory to wear a mask next to the mat. Parents are asked not to come into the hall in order to reduce the number of contacts.
- Since the koalas cannot be vaccinated and the parents have to comply with 2G +, we decided to suspend the training for the time being. As soon as we have a different legal situation here, we will resume training.
If there are significant changes in the regulation on January 12th, 2022, we reserve the right to reassess the whole topic.
