“Zemgale” / LLU hockey players win “Liepāja”; Olimp / Venta 2002 scores eight goals

“Optibet” Hockey League (OHL) vice-champion “Zemgale” / LLU on Wednesday celebrated the victory in the regular championship game, but in another game “Olimp” / “Venta 2002” was successful.

Outfielders from Jelgava won the “Liepāja” team with the result 4: 1 (2: 0, 0: 1, 2: 0).

In the third minute, Andrejs Zajacs and Rūdolfs Muraško scored for the guests with an interval of 27 seconds. In the second period, Dmitrijs Selutins regained one goal in the majority, but in the third section, Aleksis Ostaņkovičs and Aleksandrs Novikovs scored two more laps in the Liepaja goal.

In its turn, “Olimp” / ”Venta 2002” outperformed the Hockey School “Riga” with the result 8: 2 (1: 0, 3: 1, 4: 1).

In the home team, Sandis Mežaraups was the most productive with one goal scored and three assists, but Pauls Svars and Miķelis Rēdlihs stood out with three performance points, scoring two goals and returning two assists.

Erik Matejko scored both goals in favor of “Riga”.

In the tournament table, “Mogo” / LSPA takes the first place with 32 points in 17 games, but Jelgava “Zemgale” / LLU is in the second place with 29 points in 18 matches. “Liepāja” finishes the best three, which has won 20 points in 16 games. “Olimp” / “Venta 2002” is in fourth place with 16 points in 13 games, but the hockey school “Rīga” is in fifth place, having won nine points in 17 games. Riga’s “Prizma” is in the sixth place with five points in 14 matches, but Daugavpils “Dinaburga” has won two points in 13 matches.
