Which players can get traded?

No one is safe in the NBA. We all know the song of the player who has no power over his destiny or his future and we have lived it more or less closely, in recent years, with Ricky Rubio. Now, that time of year has come when anyone can get pierced.

The teams are looking for changes. Those at the top want to strengthen themselves to make sure they remain at the bottom of the canyon. Those in the middle of the board are looking for a change of course. Lastly, those below just want improve your expectations for the future. Either of these scenarios ends with traded players.

Today we analyze some of the proper names that may end up changing shirts in the coming months in the NBA, for whatever reason.

THE DEFENDED

First we have those players who have done impossible things for their teams Kyrie Irving y Ben Simmons top this list. The first is not for sale officially, although the Nets will not be disgusted if a good offer arrives. The second, however, is in the trigger for months.

They are the two clearest cases of players who only bring headaches to their teams. Simmons made it clear that he no longer wanted to play in Philadelphia and so it has been. Irving, who would not be vaccinated. Up to now, neither of them has debuted this season nor does it seem that it will do so anytime soon.

THE SACRIFIED

On the other hand we have the players who franchises are willing to sacrifice. We are talking about true stars of the league that, however, teams could transfer to turn their situation around.

This is the case of projects such as Indiana Pacers. Rick Carlisle’s men have not lived up to expectations for years and this season is being horrible in Indianapolis. Changes are needed and from the franchise they have made it clear that nobody is untouchable.

This could lead to the departure of players such as Domantas Sabonis o Myles Turner, two very different interiors but that would be a huge level booster for various teams wanting to compete for the ring.

Something similar happens in Portland. The Blazers don’t hit the mark. Damian Lillard not happy with the team, the dressing room not happy with Chauncey Billups and, in general, no one is happy in Oregon.

The rumors of the departure of Lillard himself or, at least, of C.J. McCollum have increased in recent weeks. A transfer by Ben Simmons would change the dynamics of the team but it is not the only movement that could occur in the Blazers. What is clear is that they need a change.

THE ALWAYS

We also have “the usual”. Names that come to the fore every yearIt seems that they are going to change of scene but they always end up staying in their team. Will it be different this time?

This is the case of two players of the Sacramento Kings. One is Buddy Held, which has sounded for half the league in the last free agency as currency of one thousand and one transfers. The shooting guard is one of the league’s most sought-after 3-point specialists and many teams would be delighted to have him.

Your partner Marvin Bagley It could also leave California. The pivot, number 2 in the 2018 Draft, is not having regularity in Sacramento. The injuries and the collisions with the directive and the technical staff have not allowed him to grow and perhaps a change of scenery would be good for him.

THE VETERANS

Finally we have the players with long careers in the league. Being a veteran does not assure you of a certain status when it comes to avoiding being traded. There are many players who once shone in the NBA and now contribute experience and very defined roles and useful in equipment contenders.

It is the case of Goran Dragic, Terrence Ross o Eric Gordon. Either because their teams are immersed in reconstructions or simply because they were part of another transfer and now they don’t want them, players like them they will always find a way to contribute.

These names are the ones that always ring in the spring when it comes to making a champion team. The franchises do not look for stars in them, but minutes of quality, experience and veterancy in the dressing room and above all, proven quality, risk-free.
