Bundesliga: Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich) will finally be vaccinated

Joshua Kimmich will finally be vaccinated against the coronavirus after testing positive, the Bayern Munich player confirmed to German public broadcaster ZDF on Sunday. “It was just hard for me to face my fears and doubts, which is why I hesitated for so long,” said Kimmich, who had long voiced his doubts around the vaccination.

Last Thursday, Bayern announced that Kimmich, 26, would no longer play this year because of a “slight injury to the lungs” after contracting the virus at the end of November. He had been in quarantine for a month, first as a contact case before he tested positive. He had played his last match on November 6 against Friborg.
