The latest mess in the RFEF: the exam of FIFA representatives suspended due to lack of Wi-Fi

The Royal Spanish Football Federation does not win for trouble. Despite changing the president, scandals continue around everything that surrounds the federative entity. The institution now chaired by Pedro Rocha has starred in a dantesque scene this morning during the tests to obtain the license of FIFA representativeswhich were produced at the RFEF headquarters.

300 candidates and two hours of waiting

The almost 300 candidates to obtain the license appeared this morning at the Ciudad del Fútbol de las Rozas to take the exam after paying 420 euros. The place was the facilities pavilion and the time was the same as when the exam began in other international venues such as London. But in Madrid the start of the test began to be delayed because Ciudad del Fútbol’s Wi-Fi was not stable enough to be able to do this test.

In the end, after more than two hours waiting for the RFEF to solve the problem and stabilize the Wi-Fi in the Federation’s sports city, the test was definitively suspended. They have given few explanations to the people who were taking the test, throwing out the ball and informing them that they will consult with FIFA for the new date of the exam.in addition to warning that they will send an email with information to claim travel expenses, because there were people who showed up from all over the country and even from outside the peninsula.

The management of the license and the implementation of the platform where students are examined depends on FIFA, but Carrying out the exam, launching the infrastructure and activating the network is the responsibility of each federation. Supposedly, there are two exams a year, but now the test will have to be rescheduled with the approval of FIFA.

A scandal that has quickly spread to the networks, especially when Miguel Galán, president of the National Training Center for Soccer Coaches of Spain (CENAFE), echoed on social networks what happened this morning at the RFEF. It must be remembered that This Friday the Government will decide to suspend Rocha because the board of directors of the Higher Sports Council meets to decide whether to remove the president of the RFEF from his position, one day before the final of the Women’s Champions League in Bilbao. The Government wants Vicente del Bosque to be in the box. And all this also coincides with the announcement, this Tuesday by the RFEF, LaLiga and Liga F, of the creation of an unprecedented coordination committee that represents peace in Spanish football after the turbulent Rubiales era.
