Andy Murray hires Jan de Witt as coach

Andy Murray will not attack the 2022 season with his trainer Jamie Delgado. The Scot, 34 years old and now 134th in the world, has indeed decided to part ways with him. Assistant coach during the 2016 season (during which Murray won his second Wimbledon, the Olympic Games and finished the year number 1 in the world), Delgado took over from Ivan Lendl in November 2017. He will now work with Denis Shapovalov, 14th in the world.

To replace him, Murray chose to call on Jan de Witt. The German notably coached Gilles Simon and Gaël Monfils. He will be alongside the Scotsman during the Abu Dhabi exhibition (December 16-18).
