Girgenson Rejected Sabers Seventh Consecutive Loss, Bluger and Penguins Minimal Victory (VIDEO)

Last night in the National Hockey League (NHL), Latvian striker Zemgus Girgenson, represented by Buffalo “Sabers” at home, conceded to the Washington “Capitals” team in the 2: 3 post-throw series, suffering the seventh consecutive loss.

The Latvian striker spent 12 minutes and three seconds on the ice, of which two minutes and six seconds in the minority, during which he did not throw a goal, but won 57% of the throw, earned one rejection and accumulated a negative efficiency (-1). In total, Zemgus has already played 26 matches in the season, standing out with five goals and equally effective passes.

Less than three minutes after the start of the game, Lars Eller scored the first goal in favor of the guests, but already ten minutes later, Winnie Hinostroza equalized, ending the first period with a draw 1: 1. In the second half, for the first time in the match, Sabers was nominated by Will Bacher, but in the final third in the sixth minute, Martin Fehervari reached the draw again 2: 2.

The determination of the winner was postponed to overtime, during which Sabers was unable to use Dmitry Orlov’s rejection in the post-match series. In the so-called “Bullis”, “Capitals” turned out to be better – Daniel Sprong and Tiji Oshi marched against the goalkeeper for the US capital team, but Viktor Olofson threw the only puck in Buffalo’s ranks.

Sabers takes 13th place in the Eastern Conference with 20 points in 27 games. The next match will be played by the team represented by Girgenson on Wednesday, December 15, at 03:00 Latvian time to return to victory on the trail guests against Winnipeg “Jets”.

In another match, the Penguins from Pittsburgh, represented by Latvian striker Teodors Blugers, defeated Anaheim’s Ducks 1: 0, winning their fourth victory in a row.

Bluger spent 15 minutes and 49 seconds on the ice, of which two minutes and 29 seconds in the minority, during which he scored two shots, blocked one opponent’s show, won 40% of the throw, and scored a positive efficiency score (+1). This season, the Latvian striker has already gone on the field in 26 matches, in which he stood out with six goals and four assists.

The only goal of the game was scored in the sixth minute of the first period, when Brack McGuin scored the puck at the Ducks goal after Zacz Aston-Rice and Chad Ruhvedel scored. In the continuation of the match, the teams exchanged rejections several times, but none of the units succeeded in realizing the numerical superiority.

The Pittsburgh team, with 33 points in 27 matches, ranks seventh in the Eastern Conference. Blugers and the Penguins will play their next match on Wednesday, December 15, at 02:00 Latvian time looking to extend the victory series at home against the Montreal “Canadiens”.
