Zverev eliminated world number one Novak Djokovic from Serbia in the semifinals, Medvedev is currently second in the ATP standings.

Zverev is the tenth player in history with more than one title from the Champions Tournament. Of his compatriots, only Boris Becker, who succeeded three times in the final event of the season, is better off.
