Sovizzo: threatens his wife and children with a gun. Arrested
In the early hours of this morning the soldiers of the Carabinieri Tenenza of Montecchio Maggiore, of the Operational Department – Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Vicenza, with the support of the other assets of the Carabinieri Company of Valdagno, arrested a man born in 1981, residing in Sovizzo, for illegal possession of a firearm and aggravated threats.
Around 07:30 an activation arrived at the Operations Center of the Carabinieri Company of Valdagno which reported that a man was threatening his cohabiting wife and children at home with a gun. The military then promptly intervened on the spot in order to block the situation of extreme danger in progress.
During the agitated moments following the military intervention, the woman managed to steal the gun from her husband, favored by the man’s semi-unconscious conditions, leaving the house with the children.
The operators, who had secured the women and children, were therefore able to block the man in the act of leaving his home within a few minutes. The man, realizing what had happened, offered no resistance.
During the subsequent house search, two hatchets and a baseball bat were found in the man’s availability.
All the weapons were then placed under sequestration.
The Judicial Authority informed of the arrest ordered the association in prison of the man who will have to answer for aggravated threats and illegal possession of a firearm.
