During the 12th, 13th and 14th of November, last week, the U17 Spanish Championship was played in the Catalan town of Granollers, where more than 140 players attended and in which the best national rackets in the category fought for the titles of national champions of each of the modalities in play.
In order to participate in this championship, it is necessary to obtain the classification according to the requirements demanded by the Spanish Badminton Federation, based on the ranking obtained throughout the season. On behalf of the Estella Badminton Club, they achieved the classification and the players Paula Fernández and Leire de Antonio attended, assisted by coach David Manzano.
The most outstanding result was obtained by both players in the Women’s Doubles modality, achieving a very worthy fifth position.
The next meeting of the Estella Badminton Club will be on November 20, the date on which Binéfar (Huesca) will be held to play the Sub11, Sub13, Sub15, Absolute and Senior Territorial Tournament.
