2022 World Cup play-offs – Dates, operation, teams, draw: How does it work?

Forget the traditional system of play-offs with home and away matches. To qualify for the World Cup 2022, the play-offs will now have to face two teams to win the precious sesame. To try to validate the last three tickets in the Europe zone for Qatar, twelve play-offs will be on the starting line on March 24 and 25: The ten best runners-up from each pool as well as the two best group winners of the last League of Nations.
