An IOC sponsor associated with the reveal of the Paris 2024 podiums

This afternoon, Paris 2024 unveiled the look of the Olympic and Paralympic podiums. Creations which are associated with one of the sponsors of the International Olympic Committee P&G (Procter & Gamble).

If pieces of the Eiffel Tower are in the Paris 2024 medals, the podiums are also inspired by the Iron Lady and the Eiffel Bridge. Podiums made in France from French wood and 100% recycled plastic. in collaboration with the startup Le Pavé, the French company Global Concept and the Giffard carpentry.

These podiums will be used for 329 medal ceremonies at the Olympic Games and 549 ceremonies at the Paralympic Games.

Gray podiums for “reduce the carnival of colors with athletes’ uniforms and avoid unsightly associations” precise Joachim Roncin, design director of Paris 2024.

“The gray color on these catwalks is an echo of the roofs of Paris. Because the teams felt that it was the most beautiful color to go to the roof of the world when you are a medalist at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. When you win a medal at the Games, you have the impression of climbing the roof of the world, so at least the athletes will be on the roof of Paris with this gray which recalls the strong color of the roofs of Paris” add Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024.

Tony Estanguet, Béatrice Dupuy, President and Managing Director France and Benelux of P&G, Global Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Alexis Hanquinquant, Paralympic Para triathlon champion and supported by P&G France were gathered this afternoon at the Paris 2024 headquarters, to the official reveal of the podiums. “By partnering with the manufacturing of the podiums with Paris 2024, P&G reiterates its commitment to supporting the performance and preparation of athletes for these Games” explains Paris 2024.
