The NBA and the Players’ Association are now recommending that every player, coach and staff member categorized in the first third receive an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Shams Charania de The Athletic shared the information, stressing that everyone involved takes action as soon as possible. The move comes as COVID-19 cases have steadily increased in recent days.
The NBA said earlier this week that those vaccinated against COVID-19, without having received an additional dose, may have to perform daily screening tests on game days starting December 1.
This news comes as players like Joel Embiid and Nikola Vucevic are still in COVID-19 protocol.
