Tom Krauss future open: is RB doing like Real Madrid now? – Bundesliga

The fact that Nuremberg’s Tom Krauss (20) was able to leave the hospital after his violent clash in the cup game against HSV was also registered with relief at RB Leipzig. Because the original Leipzig belongs to the cops, has a contract here until 2025.

The two-year loan with Nuremberg ends next summer. The defensive midfielder has developed outstandingly there, screwing his market value from EUR 300,000 to EUR 4 million. There will be a conversation about the future of Krauss in the next few weeks at Cottaweg.

Is RB doing like Real Madrid now?

In Nuremberg, Krauss has been a regular player under ex-RB coach Robert Klauß (36) for a year and a half (45 games / 3 goals). However, the jump back to the Champions League club would be great. Just like the competition.

In addition to a normal return to Leipzig, there is therefore another option: RB will sell Krauss next summer despite the current contract. However, the option to bring the U21 national player back in the coming years remains open by means of a buyback clause.

Real has let its stars mature at other clubs without completely losing them. Leverkusen once brought Dani Carvajal (29) for 5 million euros – and one year later had to let him go for 6.5 million euros.

Most recently, Sergio Reguilón (24) was sold to Tottenham for 30 million euros. Real can buy it back for up to 40 million euros.

At Krauss, the sums are (of course) one size smaller. But there are enough interested parties: Krauss would like to keep Nuremberg. According to BILD information, the son of Holger Krauss (45 / formerly Leverkusen, FC Sachsen, Lok) is also on the list of two traditional clubs from the west.
