Thirty-two-year-old Costa agreed last December to terminate his contract with Atlétic Madrid due to frequent injuries. He spent nine seasons with breaks in a Spanish club.
With Atlétic, he won two titles from Lagart, Brazil, won the European League with him and also played the finals of the Champions League. He also twice won the Premier League with Chelsea, where he served from 2014 to 2017.
