Laurent Thuéry, Toulouse defense coach, explained that many players will be spared for Saturday’s trip to Montpellier.

A week before facing Leinster in the Champions Cup final on May 25, Stade Toulousain, new leader of the Top 14 after its success on Sunday against Stade Français Paris, travels to Montpellier, for the 24th day of the Top 14. After the victory against Harlequins, Toulouse manager Ugo Mola explained his squad was going to rotate in anticipation of the final, which was already the case against the Parisians. And it will be again, Saturday, against MHR.

This was confirmed by Laurent Thuéry, the Stade Toulouse defense coach, in comments reported by Rugby Rama : “A good part of the players called up for the final will be spared, but we are going there to show our best face. The group will be made up of quality players who have already shown that they have talent and can win matches. We are going there to have a very serious match.” And to add that the match against Montpellier will be used to decide the last choices in the team composition for the final: “Not all choices are made. Everyone still has places to win. All the performances will be important and there are still points to be found.”
