About the Harry Kane polemic, this is what the Tottenham manager says

Jakarta

Harry Kane has been absent from pre-season training because his desire to leave has not been approved by Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo spoke up.

Harry Kane has missed Tottenham’s pre-season training since last Monday (2/8/2021). He should have returned from an extra day off after playing for the England national team at Euro 2020.

His decision to be absent from this exercise is related to transfer issues. Harry Kane did want to leave this summer in search of a better chance of winning trophies.

Since signing a professional contract with Tottenham in 2010, he has not once tasted the title. His best achievement is three times runner-up: twice in the English League Cup and once in the Champions League.

Manchester City emerged as a major interest and reportedly offered 100 million pounds to Tottenham Hotspur. However, the proposal was rejected by CEO Daniel Levy who felt Harry Kane’s value was in the range of 150-160 million pounds.

Daniel Levy’s move allegedly made Harry Kane disappointed. He felt that he had an unwritten agreement (gentleman’s agreement) with the CEO, not to be complicated by joining another club.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo opened up about Harry Kane’s situation, after the 2-2 test match against Chelsea, Thursday (5/8) early morning WIB.

“It’s not that I don’t want to comment, what I believe is that all issues related to Harry we have to discuss internally between us and try to avoid any commotion or public discussion about it,” he was quoted as saying. Sky Sports.

“We have to resolve the situation, but between us. I expect to speak to Harry soon, I haven’t had time to do so,” added the former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager.
