Olympic Games> Four ladies for three medals

The women’s semi-finals of the Olympic tournament are now known and there are some surprises.

Highest ranked player (6^e), Elina Svitolina is the favorite to win the title but it will first be necessary to beat the formidable Czech Marketa Vondrousova (42^e), slayer of Naomi Osaka.

In the other semi-final, the Swiss Belinda Bencic (12^e), which should make Roger Federer proud, will be opposed to the powerful Kazakh Elena Rybakina (20^e). A rather indecisive meeting between two players who will play big.

Note that none of these four players has won any Grand Slam title. The pressure will therefore necessarily be there.
