The speedy wide receiver joins New York’s attack after being drafted with the sixth overall pick

The New York Giants added a new weapon to their offense during the first round of the 2024 Draft.

This Thursday, wide receiver Malik Nabers became a new Giants player after being drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 Draft.

Malik Nabers comes to New York after three seasons at LSU, where he accumulated 189 receptions for 3,003 yards with 21 touchdowns, last season he was a unanimous first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC selection.

During LSU’s pro day, Malik Nabers recorded a time of 4.35 seconds in the 40-yard dash, along with a vertical jump of 42 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, 9 inches.

The Giants are looking to give an explosive weapon to quarterback Daniel Jones, who only played six full games last season due to various injuries, in which he completed just 108 of 160 passes for 909 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions.

New York currently has Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt as its top receivers, none of whom surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving barrier last year.

The Giants haven’t had a top-10 offense, in points and yards, since 2015.
