A video posted on the Instagram account of the Topgolf golf club in San Antonio (Texas, USA), shows the moment in which a ball thrown by a young man is struck by lightning in the middle of a storm (see the video above).
The ball of Tomás Enrique Gómez, who was visiting the club together with brothers and friends, developed a speed of more than 140 kilometers per hour before being hit mid-flight.

“When I saw the lightning, my first intention was to run. I slipped on the wet ground, but I managed to protect myself after the initial scare,” says the young man.
He adds: “I was just happy that he hit the ball, and not me.”
