Anna-Maria Wagner won the gold medal in the weight class up to 78 kg at the Judo World Championships in Budapest. Wagner, who fights for TSG Backnang in the Bundesliga, has won all five fights on the way to the world championship title. In an exciting final she prevailed against the defending champion and world number one Madeleine Malonga from France with Waza-ari for Uchi-mata in the Golden Score.
