Power hitter Joc Pederson has reportedly agreed to the terms of a contract with the Chicago Cubs, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The agreement would be conditional on a medical examination.
Pederson ran into trouble during the 2020 regular season, but he rebounded in the playoffs, hitting two homers and producing eight runs to help the Los Angeles Dodgers win a World Series first since 1988.
The 28-year-old outfielder has spent the last seven seasons with the Dodgers, averaging 25 homers per season from 2015 to 2019.
He made his major baseball debut in September 2014.
