The Nations League group game between the German national soccer team and the Ukraine will definitely take place on Saturday evening (8.45 p.m. / ZDF) in Leipzig. A Uefa spokesman shared this a good four hours before the scheduled kick-off sid-Inquiry with. All the results of the test series carried out on Saturday were negative. Nothing stands in the way of the penultimate international match of the year, especially since all tests in the DFB selection on Saturday were negative.

The game had meanwhile been questionable because on Friday four players around ex-Dortmund’s Andrej Jarmolenko and a team manager tested positive for the corona virus. However, the Leipzig health department decided that no further players need to be quarantined. The Ukrainian association assured the authorities that the people concerned had not had close contact with other people on the team.

There are no reasons for a game to be canceled from Uefa. According to Uefa regulations, games will be played as planned as long as a team has 13 players (12 field players, one goalkeeper). That is the case with Ukraine. The people who tested positive are in isolation at the Steigenberger team hotel.
