Nélio Lucas presented in court two criminal records (Portuguese and English), but Rui Pinto’s defense wants to have access to the entire history, to verify the existence of any crimes that have been erased over time.
Rui Pinto’s defense had already asked the court for the criminal record certificate of the former Doyen administrator. Today, Nélio Lucas brought to court criminal records requested by him, but dating from 2016 and 2019.
The court admitted adding these documents to the case. But for the defense of the hacker this is not enough. Teixeira da Mota asks that the court ask for the witness’s criminal record.
“I understand that this criminal record is not enough to prove it. It must be the court that asks for the criminal records,” said lawyer Teixeira da Mota.
The lawyer Sofia Branco, who represents Doyen, said that “the documents serve to contradict what the defendant’s defense alleges in the defense”.
“Am I being judged here ?!”, asked Nélio Lucas later.
It should be recalled that Nélio Lucas is being investigated in Spain for suspected tax fraud and money laundering.
