The Premier League’s controversial pay-per-view plans are due to be discussed on Thursday at a meeting of their 20 clubs.

Some clubs are said to be dissatisfied with the current line-up and believe that the move, which was unpopular with many fans, was a PR disaster.

Currently fans are being asked to pay £ 14.95 to watch some games as the games continue to be played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to The Telegraph, a number of options will be addressed at the Premier League’s final general meeting, including the complete elimination of PPV.

However, the most likely outcome seems to be bringing the price down to £ 9.95 per game, although it is reported that no immediate decision is expected.

Instead, the Premier League is planning further talks with the broadcasters Sky Sports and BT Sport about further progress.

With a new ban coming into effect, there is increasing pressure to make more games available on free-to-air television.
