Ziomara Morrison added minutes in a new European league. The Chilean made her official debut for Nantes in French women’s basketball, on the opening date of the 2020-2021 season. Her team, however, fell 86-75 to Roche Vendee.
The pivot spent 38 minutes on the court, in which she contributed nine points and 10 rebounds, being the one that captured the most balls under the basket in her club, in addition to having left numbers such as 50% effectiveness for field shots, completing her first record in the French basketball competition.
Morrison adds a new competition from the Old Continent to his enviable career. She came to Nantes from Hungary, but before that she was in Italy, Spain, Turkey, Poland and in the WNBA, the only Chilean who has achieved it, in addition to having played (and won) the Chilean National Women’s League.
On the next date, the third of the calendar and the second of the game due to the suspension of the initial day, which was scheduled for last week and was postponed due to Covid-19 cases, Nantes will receive Landerneau on Wednesday, October 7.
