NFL – Kareem Hunt reportedly signed 2-year contract extension with Browns

Running back Kareem Hunt has accepted a two-year, US $ 13.25 million contract extension from the Cleveland Browns, the Associated Press has learned.

Hunt, who served an eight-game suspension last year by joining the Browns as a free agent, is due to sign the deal on Tuesday, a source told the AP on condition of anonymity.

The contract would include a guaranteed sum of $ 8.5 million.

Hunt will start the 2020 season as the No. 2 backer, behind Nick Chubb. But the Browns are expected to use Hunt in a variety of ways because of his receiving skills.

A native of the Cleveland area, Hunt led the NFL in rushing yards in his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017 with gains of 1,327 yards.
