French Open in Paris: Novak Djokovic wins his 70th game in Paris

Superstar Novak Djokovic did not show any nakedness in the second round of the French Open. The 33-year-old Serb beat the Lithuanian outsider Ricardas Berankis 6: 1, 6: 2, 6: 2 and now meets the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galán.

With his success, Djokovic achieved his 70th victory in Roland Garros, drawing level with the Swiss Roger Federer. Federer is not at the start this year due to the aftermath of a knee injury. First in the list is Paris record champion Rafael Nadal with 95 wins.

Daniel Altmaier surprisingly won the German second round duel against Jan-Lennard Struff. The 22-year-old prevailed 6: 3, 7: 6 (7: 4), 6: 3 against the 30-year-old opponent and is in the third round for his first participation in Paris.

Laura Siegemund won the second German tennis duel of the day against Julia Görges and reached the third round in Paris for the first time in her career. The 32-year-old won 1: 6, 6: 1, 6: 3 on Thursday and was the only German to survive the second round. Siegemund converted her first match ball after 1:51 hours. In the fight for a place in the round of 16, the Swabian is now against the Croatian Petra Martic or Veronika Kudermetowa from Russia.
