Mo Besic’s interest grows as Everton Fields preliminary transfer requests

Everton has yet to close a deal to sell Mo Besic, but interest in the midfielder is growing.

Besic is in the final year of his contract with Goodison and will be leaving the blues this summer.

The 27-year-old was on loan with Sheffield United last season and would prefer to stay in England, which is also where the Premier League teams are located.

Besic also has offers from clubs in Italy, Spain, Turkey and Germany.

Everton would like to sell the Bosnia and Herzegovina international international and wipe his wages off the books entirely, but suitable offers have yet to be submitted.

The Blues are also trying to discharge Sandro Ramirez and Yannick Bolasie, but as in Besic’s case, no specific proposals have been made.

The clubs have made preliminary inquiries for both players, but the talks have not continued.

Everton has made it clear that unwanted players must be unwanted players to initiate a roster overhaul. Carlo Ancelotti wants Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure to strengthen midfield and asks the club to consider James Rodriguez’s signing offload first.

Besic and Bolasie are expected to be featured in the friendly in Blackburn (6pm) on Tuesday, but it’s unclear whether Sandro, who returns to Finch Farm on Monday, will be involved.
